-El document determinar\u00e0 les accions de conservaci\u00f3 i protecci\u00f3 de la fortalesa<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

L’Ajuntament de Portell ha iniciat el proc\u00e9s que determinar\u00e0 com ha de ser la conservaci\u00f3 del seu castell i el seu recinte emmurallat. L’alcalde de Portell, \u00c1lvaro Ferrer, ha indicat que \u201cs’ha iniciat la redacci\u00f3 d’un Pla Director que determinar\u00e0 la conservaci\u00f3 i protecci\u00f3 d’aquest singular patrimoni conformat per l’antic castell, el recinte emmurallat i una singular pla\u00e7a d’armes\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

El Castell de Portell est\u00e0 declarat B\u00e9 d’Inter\u00e9s Cultural, declaraci\u00f3 reservada per als b\u00e9ns m\u00e9s rellevants del Patrimoni Hist\u00f2ric Espanyol.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

El Pla Director, redactat pels arquitectes Antonio Garc\u00eda Blay i Jos\u00e9 Antonio Ruiz Sua\u00f1a i els arque\u00f2legs Pablo Garc\u00eda Borja i Joan Enric Palmer Broch, t\u00e9 com a objectiu aconseguir un major i millor coneixement del B\u00e9, per a organitzar, prioritzar i orientar les mesures de protecci\u00f3, documentaci\u00f3 i actuaci\u00f3 sobre els elements que formen el castell.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cEls objectius del Pla Director s\u00f3n: estudiar el monument des del seu origen, evoluci\u00f3 i desenvolupament amb el pas del temps, evidenciar la seua situaci\u00f3 actual, estat de conservaci\u00f3, manteniment i gesti\u00f3, definir els criteris d’actuaci\u00f3, intervenci\u00f3 i oportunitat aplicables tant en les actuacions immediates com en aquelles intervencions que es donen en el futur, establir la l\u00ednia temporal i planificaci\u00f3 d’actuacions de conservaci\u00f3 i consolidaci\u00f3 i establir un sistema d’\u00fas, gesti\u00f3, difusi\u00f3 i manteniment del B\u00e9 patrimonial\u201d explica Garc\u00eda Blay.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Les actuacions programades tenen una duraci\u00f3 estimada de 5 anys des del seu inici, estant prevista la seua realitzaci\u00f3 per fases en funci\u00f3 de la disponibilitat pressupost\u00e0ria.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Entre les principals actuacions previstes es troba l’adquisici\u00f3 i restauraci\u00f3 d’una de les torres, la conversi\u00f3 de l’antiga Casa Abadia com a allotjament tur\u00edstic i la continuaci\u00f3 dels treballs d’excavaci\u00f3 al Corro, aix\u00ed com l’adequaci\u00f3 de les graderies. El document tamb\u00e9 inclou la restauraci\u00f3 de les denominades torres 3 i 4, l’habilitaci\u00f3 de zones de descans al costat de la torre 2, torre 6 i zona esportiva, aix\u00ed com l’habilitaci\u00f3 d’una oficina d’informaci\u00f3 tur\u00edstica, una zona d’aparcament i un magatzem municipal contigu al Corro en el carrer Nou. La redacci\u00f3 d’un Pla Especial de Protecci\u00f3 del Castell i el seu entorn, la restituci\u00f3 del Portal dels Moros en el carrer Nou i de la muralla entre la torre 4 i la torre 5, tamb\u00e9 estan previstes en el Pla. Finalment, es contempla el manteniment de cobertes, revestiments i millora d’instal\u00b7lacions de l’Esgl\u00e9sia, la reurbanitzaci\u00f3 dels carrers de l’entorn del castell i l’ampliaci\u00f3 i millora de la senyalitzaci\u00f3 dels elements del castell, aix\u00ed com l’establiment d’itineraris de visita.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Enguany ja s’han dut a terme excavacions arqueol\u00f2giques en el recinte del Corro. En aquests treballs s’han trobat abundants restes humanes, primer en estrats superficials remoguts i despr\u00e9s formant part de diferents inhumacions d’\u00e8poca medieval, ja d’\u00e8poca cristiana. Una de les troballes m\u00e9s interessants ha sigut la localitzaci\u00f3 d’una sepultura amb les despulles d’una persona adulta i un xiquet. \u201cDespr\u00e9s del seu estudi, sabem que aquestes inhumacions corresponen a dos homes d’inicis del segle XIV\u201d detalla Joan Enric Palmer. Aquests descobriments permeten situar en el subs\u00f2l de l’actual Corro el primer cementeri cristi\u00e0 de la poblaci\u00f3. Un espai que malgrat haver sigut molt transformat al llarg dels segles, sens dubte continuar\u00e0 aportant valuosa informaci\u00f3 sobre els or\u00edgens de Portell\u201d ha concl\u00f2s l’equip d’arque\u00f2legs despr\u00e9s de les investigacions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
