Portell de Morella ha acollit el passat dimarts 19 d\u2019agost un taller de paleontologia organitzat per l\u2019Ajuntament de Portell, amb la col\u00b7laboraci\u00f3 de la Diputaci\u00f3 de Castell\u00f3. L\u2019activitat, celebrada al poliesportiu municipal, ha comptat amb la participaci\u00f3 de 23 persones, un \u00e8xit que mostra les ganes de la gent de saber m\u00e9s sobre el passat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

La jornada ha comen\u00e7at amb una projecci\u00f3 introduct\u00f2ria que ha servit perqu\u00e8 els assistents es posaren en mat\u00e8ria i conegueren un poc m\u00e9s sobre paleontologia. Tamb\u00e9 s\u2019han mostrat els treballs que s\u2019han dut a terme per la zona, perqu\u00e8 els ve\u00efns conegueren el que tenen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Posteriorment, els assistents han pogut manipular materials i eines utilitzades en paleontologia i han participat activament en el taller, descobrint com es localitzen i s\u2019extrauen els f\u00f2ssils. Els participants tamb\u00e9 han apr\u00e9s curiositats sobre la vida dels dinosaures que han habitat Portell fa m\u00e9s de 120 milions d\u2019anys.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

L\u2019activitat, oberta a p\u00fablic de totes les edats i sense necessitat de coneixements previs, ha format part del projecte \u201cPortell, Terra de Dinosaures\u201d, impulsat per l\u2019Ajuntament i la Diputaci\u00f3 de Castell\u00f3 des de 2017, amb l\u2019objectiu de posar en valor els jaciments i fomentar la difusi\u00f3 del patrimoni paleontol\u00f2gic de la comarca.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Portell ha estat una zona molt important per a la paleontologia. La troballa de diferents jaciments ha posat la localitat en el mapa paleontol\u00f2gic. Per aix\u00f2, \u00e9s molt important aquest tipus de tallers, que posen en valor el que hi ha a la comarca i la import\u00e0ncia de con\u00e9ixer i cuidar els b\u00e9ns m\u00e9s rellevants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
